MODEL schoolgirl Jacee Pink looks set to have a bright future after she was named Face of 2011.

Eight-year-old Jacee, from Humbledon, is used to being behind the camera ever since beginning her modelling days at the age of just two-and-a-half.

Now she has been spotted by a North East based photography agency.

Duo Photography, in Usworth, Washington, is in the process of launching a new, self-named, monthly magazine which will be distributed throughout the area.

The magazine aims to provide photographs of events happening in and around the region.

James Thompson, a photographer for Duo, said: “People seem to think there is nothing going on, nothing to do in the North East.”

“We aim to show that there is plenty, that there are lots of good things to do in this area.”

Jacee has been chosen as Duo’s lead children’s fashion model.

James said: “Jacee won Face of 2011 on the grounds of her enthusiasm and her personality in front of the camera and off it.”

Jacee’s mum, Amy, said she was delighted at her daughter’s success.

She added: “I’m over the moon. Jacee is brilliant on shoot and naturally gifted.”

“She’s very confident and composed on the set for her age. It’s amazing really. She’s so focused on becoming a model and she loved the experience with Duo.”

Amy did initially have some reservations about this venture.

She said: “I have no problem with the charity catwalks we’ve had Jacee do, but with the more commercial things sometimes you get people promising things and they don’t deliver.”

“I’m now very confident in DUO. They delivered what they said they would.”
