SCOTTISH pop duo Hue and Cry will keep it low key during a pre-festival season performance tonight.

Brothers Pat and Greg Kane have chosen Durham City’s Gala Theatre as one of the venues for a limited run of acoustic dates, before they head off on the festival circuit this summer.

The pair achieved chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits including Labour of Love, Stars Crash Down and Looking for Linda.

In recent years, Pat and Greg have been busy working on solo and collaborative projects, developing their soul-funk sound.

They have played to sell-out audiences, supported stars including Jamie Cullum and become favourites on the festival circuit.

Earlier this year, they released Hot Wire, their first album since 2008, and won critical acclaim.

Their performance at Gala will include songs from Hot Wire, as well as some of their best-selling hits.

Tickets are priced at £19.50 and the performance starts at 7.30pm.
