With the help of Poetic License in Roker and No2 Church Lane in the city centre, we’re giving you the chance to win a top night in during lockdown.

You and a friend can tuck into two burgers and regular fries delivered by the popular burger restaurant, while sipping on a 70cl bottle of gin of your choice from the award-winning Poetic License distillery – we’re also throwing in some of their in-demand hand sanitiser.

Like many city businesses, both have had to adapt their business models in line with the restrictions in place to limit the spread of COVID-19.

As well as using the ethanol from their distilling process to produce hand santiser, Poetic License’s sister business Let There Be Crumbs have also been doing popular take away afternoon teas.

No2 Church Lane has also branched into deliveries to help cater for customers’ needs, whilst also helping to ensure the survival of their business.

Stephen Hunt from No2 Church Lane said: “We are not a take-away, so we have looked to do our best to deliver restaurant quality food contactless, which we have found challenging at times, but overall we have found to be a success and rewarding to ourselves and our customers.
