Imogen Glanville has placed a number of drawings around Roker Park and invited people to leave their own message at its bandstand, as well as along its seafront, while she and her siblings have also painted blocks to place around Princess Anne Park neat their Washington home.

They have helped celebrate the NHS, as well as urge people to stay safe during the coronavirus crisis.

Imogen, six, who attends John F Kennedy Primary School, has been helped by brothers Thomas, 10, Nathan, 13, and sister Orla, two, and parents Kayleigh, 34, a beauty therapist, and dad Rob, 35, a Nissan worker, as she put together the artwork.

The idea has proved a hit with visitors to the parks, who have shared their own photos as they discovered the notes around Roker, left as the family made a trip down to the coast to watch the sunrise, when it was extra quiet.

People have been tagging their own posts with #imogensmessage so they can share their experiences.
