Durham Castle backdrop for Shakespeare production

A CITY’S scenic spots will become the backdrop to performances of a William Shakespeare play.

Durham University’s Castle Theatre Company will stage A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at Durham Castle, on June 13 and 14 at 2.30pm, and June 16 at 7pm. There is a 30-year tradition of open-air Shakespeare performance at the castle.

The play will also be at Crook Hall and Gardens on June 12 and 13.
