Indeed, another potential summer transfer drama could involve Sunderland loanee Dion Sanderson.

The defender has been linked with £2m move to Crystal Palace and Sheffield United – with Sunderland also retaining an interest in securing his services on a permanent deal.

Sanderson, however, has reiterated his desire to break into the Wolves squad on his return to Molineux in the summer.

Amidst talk surrounding a potential move, Sanderson said: "Wolves have been my boyhood club, and it's where I see myself in the future."

@bamgboyeolu added: “Yes I would like to see him sign permanently he’s the one that impressed me he has been brilliant and Johnson likes him as well.”

And @Philip_RJ89s concluded: “Yes. He could become the cornerstone of our defence if we could sign him permanently. He’s got it. Simple as that.”
