The striker completed a deadline day exit from the Stadium of Light as he joined the Dons on loan until the end of the season.
Having been ineligible for the first two games of his loan spell – both of which came against his parent club – Grigg was handed a start as Russell Martin’s side headed to Rochdale on Tuesday evening.

Hide AdAnd the striker made a quick impact, registering two assists in the side’s impressive 4-1 triumph.
Grigg set-up the opening goal of the evening for Matt O’Riley before then teeing-up Cameron Jerome for the Dons’ final strike during his 78 minutes on the field.
Meanwhile, Elliot Embleton saw his hopes of a second Blackpool appearance thwarted – as their game against Burton Albion was postponed ten minutes before kick-off.
The youngster had been named on the bench for the game before referee Chris Sarginson opted to postpone the fixture on the eve of kick-off.

Hide AdExplaining the call, the official said: “I looked at the pitch at 6pm and I was happy.
“But since the lights have been taken off, the playing surface has deteriorated so much.
“We’re at the stage now, at 7pm, where there are hard bits on the surface in one half and with two hours before we complete the game at 9pm, there’s no way we’re going to get through.
“The temperature is dropping and it’s only going to harden up and get worse. Player safety has to come into it.”
