6. The pub with 300-plus years of history
The building in which the former Heart of Oak stands dates back to 1710 and its pub history goes back to 1820. It also goes by the name of Angels Place because of its links to the Hell's Angels as well as by the name of 81, said Ron. Why? Because H and A are the eighth and first letters of the alphabet.
