We’re talking about 2008 and the year when Starsky and Hutch star Paul Michael Glaser starred in panto in Sunderland, and when sledging on real snow was the big attraction in the market place.
It’s when kites flew over Washington in real festival style and the Great Sunderland Women’s Run headed out on to the pier.
