We have all of these and more in this collection of shop photos from the late 1950s and 1960s which were kindly provided to us by Wearside historian Bill Hawkins.
Bill, part of the magnificent Sunderland Antiquarian Society, has shared hundreds of images with the Sunderland Echo and here is a first 2020 look at some of them.
We have scenes from Silksworth Row and Hendon Road, Coronation Street and John Candlish Road. Take a look.
