Jaye Price, 23, set up the Washington Tyne & Wear COVID-19 help page to provide people in the community with an easy way to communicate and the page has gained over 1,500 members in less than a week.
The group, which gives the community a safe place to talk about how they are feeling and coping also provides a place where people can ask for some much needed help.

She said: “It’s killing me not being able to go out and help more but the Facebook page gives people a way to communicate and stay in touch with others.
“Washington is only a small place and it’s a place where people rely on others for help and support.”
Jaye’s two year old son, Markus has also been helping lift spirits, joining thousands of children in drawing a rainbow and putting in the window to spread a message of hope.
