Judith Thompson, leader of Sunderland Symphony Orchestra, came up with the idea for musicians in the city to play and sing All You Need is love during Clap for Carers at 8pm on Thursday, April 9.
The idea has taken social media by storm, being passed on to other musicians, singer and music teachers on Wearside – and now you are being invited to join in with the celebration too!
Lizzie Nixon, of Sunderland Music Hub, said: “There are lots of music teachers working across the city when the schools are open, and we felt it would be a good way to use their skills.
“We hope to hear some people playing and singing.”
