People have been following Government ‘stay at home’ advice as the seafront and streets in Sunderland remain quiet heading into week two of lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As we enter week two of the rules put in place by PM Boris Johnson to limit the spread of coronavirus, guidance remains for the public to stay at home for the protection of themselves, each other and the NHS. So, as people head out for their daily exercise or to the shops for basic essentials in line with guidance given by the Government, public areas remained quiet. Our photographers headed out across Wearside to see how the city looked.
