Peterlee town centre is usually a hive of activity, but as only businesses offering essential good and services remain open, it looks very different today.

Customers have been heading to the Castle Dene Shopping Centre to collect necessities and access bank branches and more, but the cafes and other stores remain closed as the Government tries to limit people’s movements to try and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

We visited the East Durham town earlier today to take a look at how quiet is now is under the lockdown.
