A Superdrug spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we recently closed our Bridges Shopping Centre store for a short time due to an incident concerning covid-19.

"The safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers is our primary concern and all of our Bridges Shopping Centre store colleagues that came into close contact have been advised to isolate for 14 days.

"We have aligned with the local authority and national guidance, and as per our planned Covid-19 procedures, the store was closed to undergo a full deep clean before re-opening and is now trading as normal.

"Any customers who may be concerned should follow the advice given by Public Health England.”
