On Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6 a virtual Santa will be fly his sleigh full of prizes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and visit 24 Hays Travel branches to drop of gifts, including holiday vouchers, cruises, luxury hampers and woolly mittens.

Suppliers have noticed the heartwarming support that Hays Travel have received over the last few months and have been extremely generous with prizes.

But, the star prize is a family trip to meet Santa Claus in Lapland, where they will get to go sledding with huskies, meet Santa’s reindeer and the elves.

The sleigh is “fueled” by #HaysHolidaySleigh posts on Twitter and Instagram. Each time the hashtag reaches it predetermined checkpoint, someone wins a prize, and Santa sets off on his journey to the next branch.

The competition is open to everyone and there is no limit to how many times it can be entered.

It will begin at 8am on Thursday morning and will continue until enough hashtags have been posted for Santa to reach his final destination and for someone to win the family trip to Lapland.

Irene Hays, joint owner, at Hays Travel, said: “We wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the tremendous support we’ve had and it’s great to be able to extend our festive competition to include everyone. You can also pop into our new branches any time to say hello - there will always be a cheery welcome there.”
