Emirates is looking for cabin crew with a recruitment day in Sunderland - this is the criteria, dress code, salary and how to apply
Dubai-based airline Emirates is on the look out to hire new cabin crew from Sunderland during a special recruitment day in the city.
Aspiring cabin crew will be able to find out more and apply for positions during the airline’s recruitment open day which will be held on Tuesday, March 3, from 9am at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel on Vaux Brewery Way.
Emirates is on the lookout to hire men and women over the age of 21 to join its team.
Interested candidates should expect to spend the full day at the recruitment event then shortlisted candidates will then be informed of timings for further assessments and interviews.
Emirates says it offers candidates an outstanding career opportunity, with in-depth training, as well as the cultural experience of working with a truly international team of cabin crew from more than 130 nationalities.
It currently flies to 159 destinations across six continents, and offers 130 weekly flights between Dubai and eight UK gateways – Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Stansted.
What is the airline looking for and what are the rules around applying?

: Candidates should be at least 21 years of age at the time of joining.
: Must have an arm reach of 212cm when standing on tiptoes.
: Be able to adapt to new people, places and situations, which makes sense as you’d be travelling around the world.
What do I need to bring to the open day? Is there a dress code?
: Candidates need an up-to-date CV and a recent photograph of themselves.
: The dress code for women is high heels, a full face of make up, hair tied back and business attire. The men's dress code is a suit with formal shoes, neat hair and clean shaven.
What is the salary?
The salary is paid in United Arab Emirates dirham (AED). The basic salary is AED 4,260 a-month with flying pay of AED 61.25 an hour for an average of 80 to 100 hours per month.
Emirates calculates that the average total pay is AED 9,770 per month which is around £2,040.
