Dainty Supplies stock goes under the hammer: Craft equipment, wedding decor, fancy dress, hen party stuff, toys and more to be sold off

The business, in Phoenix Road in Crowther, Washington, closed down just days before Christmas, leaving its loyal customers who had used it to source their party supplies and craft items devastated.

Companies House documents show the business’s registered office changed to the RMT Accountants in Gosforth on January 12, with a notice it was being wound up voluntarily made on Thursday, January 16.

It was signed by Jacqueline Hallam, its joint managing director alongside Brian Jones, with Mandy Rose listed as its director and a shop supervisor.

Lithgow Sons and Partners, is welcoming people into the former shop for the auctions from today, Tuesday, February 11, until Friday, February 14, followed by the sale of fixtures, fittings and furniture on Monday, February 17.

Both events will start at 10am, with party good and toys to be sold today and material to be on offer tomorrow.

Richard Storry, who owns the auction firm, said: “People should come along and enjoy the auction.

“A few people have never been to a live auction before, but it’s probably something they have seen on the television, so they should come along and see one in action.”

He added anyone will be welcome to buy items.

“They just need to turn up, register on the morning, they will get an auction number which they can put up if they want to make a bid,” he said.

A list of everything on offer has been published by the auctioneers and items from its stock include:

Party goods – Balloons, games, inflatables, feather boas, Union Flag pork pie hats, angel wings, Mexican moustaches, Hawaiian hula skirts, plastic cutlery, cake stands and tablecloths.

Toys and novelties – Bouncy putty, gliders, water bombs and pistols, fidget spinners, loom bands, frisbees, tractors and trailers, self-assembly wooden dinosaurs and make and paint pirate ships.

Cake decorations – Self-inflating balloon cake toppers, age-related cake decorations, candles, cake boards in various colours and shapes.

Christmas items – Santa statues, ribbons, plaques, gift bags, tinsel, garlands, hand puppets, snowmen, wrapping paper, bottle bags and lights.

Baby goods and baby shower items – Name plaques, table centrepieces and covers, photo frames, rattles and oversized safety puns and bottles.

Bridal and wedding goods – Hen party hats and sashes, bridal flowers, wedding invitations and personalised wine labels.

Pens, ink and paints – Pens and markers in various colours and sizes, silk paint, porcelain paint, embossing paste, chalk paint, paintbrushes and pencils.

Craft stock – Gem stickers, bows, ribbon, rubber stamps, shrinking foil, silk clay paint, rubber moulds, beads, make your own card, envelope and invitation kits, felt balls, feathers, pom poms and sequins.

Crafting tools and glue – Screwdrivers, staplers, paperclips, craft dots, crafting punches, tweezers, scalpel blades and jewellery pliers.

Needlework, knitting and crochet – Needlework fabric, embroidery floss, wooden embroidery hoops and easy-clip frames, cross stitch kits, beads, jewels, embroidery thread, wool, teddy beads and knitting needles.
