YouTube star Marcus Butler at intu Metrocentre

intu Metrocentre, Gateshead, was the latest stop on internet sensation, Marcus Butler’s, UK book tour.

The British star, 23, who recently released his first book, Hello Life, has nearly four million subscribers to his Youtube channel, Marcus Butler.

The book signing saw hundreds of fans head to the shopping centre for the chance to meet the vlogger and get their copies of his book.

“The energy at intu Metrocentre was crazy,” said Marcus Butler.

“The buzz around the centre from the Geordies has been amazing and it was so much fun meeting everyone. I loved every second of it.”

Hello Life, which Marcus worked on with writer Matt Allen, was inspired by the level of interest in Marcus’ recent fitness regime and is described as a part-memoir, part-self-help guide to life.

“It was great to see so many people in the centre for the book signing,” said marketing manager Helen Atkinson.

“Marcus is very popular with the younger generations and it was an absolute pleasure to have him at intu Metrocentre.”
