Fast-food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken have directed a jibe at Sunderland’s rivals Newcastle United.

The outlet started an ‘If Premier League teams were KFC menu items’ thread on Twitter, including a post on Newcastle.

In a rather cheeky post, KFC labelled Newcastle United as one of their snack boxes. Their rationale was ‘Loves a cheap option’.

The barb was presumably aimed at chairman Mike Ashley and a perceived lack of investment despite spending a club record fee of £40m on Joelinton last summer.
