Sunderland welcome Gillingham at the beginning of a critical seven-day period where they will also travel to Bristol Rovers and Blackpool.
After that, the Black Cats could be set for an extended break.

Saturday will mark the fourth time Sunderland have faced Steve Evans’ side this season, and they are yet to come out on top.
However, their form has been transformed since the 1-0 defeat at Priestfields in December.
Though Gillingham themselves have been on a fine run, that came to an end with a 2-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon last weekend.

Hide AdParkinson has warned his players to expect a fierce physical challenge, but expects them to show bravery in possession and replicate their largely impressive recent home performances.
“We've spoken about being right in contention for the top two at the end of the Blackpool game and what is required to do that, starting with this game against Gillingham,” he said.
“We know what to expect from Gillingham, we've played them three times.
“In the first half of the cup game at home, we played really well then conceded a poor goal and after that, didn't get out and play with enough variety in our game.
“The two away games were tough.

“You've got to stand up to the long throws and the physicality of them, but also have the bravery to make the pitch big when you've got the ball.
“You've got to get them on the back foot themselves and that's the aim for us this weekend.
“Like any game, you look at what they're good at, but it's about us and if we're at our best, we have a great chance of getting the result.”

Hide AdWith ten games to go, Sunderland have a relatively favourable run-in.
Parkinson agrees that they have been handed a good schedule, and wants the disappointment of last week quickly put to bed.
“It's a good run-in,” he said.
“A very good run-in for us and we've got to capitalise on that.
“I think this week was always going to be an interesting one for myself and my staff looking at everybody.

“In our preparation, out on the pitch and also for the supporters, we haven't got a home game for a month after Gillingham, so we need that cup-tie atmosphere.”
