Phil Parkinson and Morgan Feeney react as youngster becomes Sunderland's third summer signing

Feeney has joined the Black Cats on a short-term deal after a successful trial period.

Hide AdParkinson has been keen to strengthen his defensive options, having just three senior options and having played a 3-4-3 system for much of his time on Wearside.
Youngster Brandon Taylor has also been training with the senior side after signing a one-year extension in the summer.
“Morgan has been training with us for a few weeks and he’s done very well,” Parkinson said.
"He’s a player with excellent pedigree having been in and around the England Under-19 set-up, and he will bring added competition to the defence.”
Feeney said he was ‘made up’ to sign for the Black Cats.
“I’m made up to be here,” he said.
