Police have been called to reports of a two vehicle crash in Southwick.

Officers were called at 10.10am this morning, May 26 to Keir Hardie Way, at the junction of Southwick Road in Sunderland following reports of a two vehicle collision.

Police were called to the scene to help divert traffic at the Southwick Road junction while the cars are recovered.

Nobody is believed to be injured.

A Force spokesperson said: “Shortly before 10.10am today (Wednesday) we received a report of a collision involving two cars on Keir Hardie Way, Sunderland.

“Officers are in attendance at the scene helping divert traffic while the cars are recovered.

“No one is believed to have sustained any injuries.”

In a tweet North East Live Traffic said: “A1290 Kier Hardy Way, the junction with the B1291 Southwick Rd is now clear after an earlier collision and the vehicles involved recovered.”
