Supply problems for Sunderland homes and traffic disruption after water main bursts
A burst water main has left some homes in Sunderland without a supply this morning.
Northumbrian Water has confirmed it is dealing with an issue on North Hylton Road in Southwick after the incident was reported shortly after 6am today.
A crew is on site and carrying out investigations, with the number of properties affected still to be established.
Traffic in the area is also facing a delay due to the disruption.
Northumbrian Water has said it is issuing updates via its Twitter account, @nwater_care.
