Sunderland Ladies delight as another Liverpool side throw two-goal lead away
Brooke Chaplen scored a brace as the Lady Black Cats clawed back a two-goal deficit to earn a valuable point in the FAWSL1.
For Liverpool, it was a carbon copy of what had happened with the men's side earlier in the day, after Jurgen Klopp's side let slip a lead against Newcastle.

Hide AdVictoria Williams was injured in the warm-up for Sunderland, meaning that Development Team defender Megan Beer started in defence.
But it turned into a horror start for the youngster as she diverted an effort into her own net to hand Liverpool an early lead.
Laura Coombs doubled their advantage to give the Reds a commanding lead after just 23 minutes at the Select Security Stadium.
But Chaplen had other ideas, and gave the Lady Black Cats hope in the 31st minute when she headed home a Kylla Sjoma free-kick to halve the lead.

Hide AdChances were few and far between, but Chaplen’s close range finish just after the hour mark after good play by Stephanie Roche ensured the points were shared.
