Four Sunderland neighbours scoop £1,000 each in People's Postcode Lottery win

The Sunderland postcode SR4 6BA was announced as a Daily Prize winner on Wednesday, December 11 – with four people of the city’s Enderby Road confirmed as taking home the cash prize.

Judie McCourt, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, sent her well-wishes to the winners as the news broke on Wearside.

She said: “I hope this was a great mid-week surprise for our winners. Congratulations to today’s lucky players in Sunderland.”

To date, players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500million for good causes across Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by PDSA, which has received more than £8.5million in funding from the organisation for its work with sick and injured animals.

Local charities and good causes also have the opportunity to apply for funding and support, with the next opportunity to apply scheduled for 2020.
