Grim weather goes on in Sunderland as rain set to continue
The last week of the school Easter holidays has been even more bleak than the first.
A yellow weather warning was in place for the North East today, and drivers have faced difficult conditions on the roads with some standing water in places, including on the A19.

Hide AdThe rest of Tuesday will be damp, cloudy and misty with more intermittent light rain and drizzle and feeling rather cold.
Wednesday is forecast to be another grey and cold day with a stiff northeasterly wind, but drier than it has been.
Occasional drizzle is likely at times, mainly over hills, with a maximum temperature 6 °C.
The Met Office's outlook for Thursday to Saturday is for the weather to remaining rather cold and grey with outbreaks of rain likely on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday expected to be driver but still misty and cloudy.
There is a chance of some warm brightness late on Friday, but that is as bright as the forecast gets.
