'Berserker' police operation catches off-road bikers

Off-road bikers are facing action after a police blitz on motor menaces.

Officers from Washington Neighbourhood Police Team said its "Operation Berserker" to crack down on the problem was seeing results.

Police have issued two warning notices to riders of off-road bikes, and a further one is pending.

In a tweet, police said: "Riders identified and prosecutions initiated for riders of off road bikes causing antisocial behaviour."
