POP-UP books and poetry promise to entertain the whole family.
City Library and Arts Centre, in Fawcett Street, hosts Pop Up Flashback tomorrow.
Aimed at five to 10-year-olds, the show tells the tale of Sebastian who has poetic memories from the pages of his colourful pop-up books and the treasure trove of his imagination.
It’s the latest show from Sunderland Stages, which aims to bring more theatre and live performance to venues around Wearside.
A spokesman from the show said: “He remembers troll kings and mermaid queens, deep sea diving super heroes and city-smashing dinosaurs. But there’s only one memory that takes particular pride of place.
“It is of the very special gift that his Dad bought him.”
•Pop Up Flashback is at City Library and Arts Centre at 11.30am and 2pm tomorrow.
