Knickers to the price – lingerie has wow factor

Have your say

THERE’S nothing like the promise of champagne and male models to coax us out of the house on a sub-zero February night.

We’d been invited by the organisers of Miss Sunderland to the launch of their new model agency, Glamrus, so we went along to see how the Sunderland models on their books, as well as the reigning Miss Sunderland Pip Attle, strutted their stuff.

Donning exclusive lingerie from North East brand Tallulah Love, they did the city proud and were a stark reminder that I must get back to the gym.

If you haven’t heard of this underwear brand, your knicker drawer is missing out.

It’s a bit on the pricy side, but its vintage-esque unique pieces most definitely have the wow factor. So much so, its sets have been featured on The Only Way is Essex – but don’t hold that against them.

The male models, meanwhile, looked dapper in gear from Debenhams as they did their best “Blue Steel” Zoolander impressions on the specially-constructed catwalk at As You Like It in Jesmond, Newcastle.

However, there’s only so much glamour we can handle in one night and, with pal Jodie in tow, we were soon winging our way back to Sunderland.

Ttonic was the only lively-looking port in the storm, so we headed there for a night cap.

One thing Ttonic’s clientele is always good for is a laugh. A group of lads worked their way through the bar, chatting up everyone in a skirt.

They really should consult our Chat Up Line of the week section before approaching the fairer sex though, as their efforts were poor – good for a giggle though.
