A delicious Revolution

IN the last six months it’s been a difficult task getting all three Seen ladies together in one bar at the same time – so when the opportunity to sample the new menu at Revolution came up, I made sure we all booked a slot in our diaries.

As much as we all love to go out, we all love to eat and the choice of new dishes at Revs left our mouths watering.

After choosing three dishes to share we settled down for a good gossip, one of our favourite past times, and debated my need to have leather shorts in my life – too lederhosen or fashion must have?

After 20 minutes we were presented with a stonebaked garlic mushroom pizza, chicken katsu and a winter mezze board, including roasted chorizo with garlic, sunblushed tomatoes, Moroccan chicken skewers, houmous, olives, olive oil with balsamic vinegar, warm crusty bread and lightly grilled flour tortillas.

As we tucked in we were in agreement that it was all delicious, but the chicken katsu really hit the spot, this was a chicken breast in a Japanese breadcrumb coating, served on fragrant jasmine sticky rice with a jug of katsu curry sauce and a salad of peashoots and edamame beans in chilli, lime and herb dressing – yes it tasted as good as it sounds!

There were just crumbs left on our plates and we will definitely be back again – but next time I want to get my hands on the new cocktails, the Del Boy and the pineapple are both vodka based and they scream 80s, which is my favourite era by far!
