FORMER X Factor finalist Amelia Lily speaks to Marie Westmoreland about her love for the North East, James Arthur and Nissan Jukes.
BORO babe Amelia Lily loves nothing more than coming home to the North East to perform and next week she will return to play Metro Radio Live.
She said: “I can’t wait to be back up North. I love it. The show is going to be great, the line-up is fantastic.”
Joining her on the bill is rising star Conor Maynard, X Factor winners Little Mix, Olly Murs, Labrinth, Misha B, Angel, Lawson, Leona Lewis, Stooshe, McFly, DJ Fresh and Scouting for Girls.
Inspired by superstar Pink, the 18 year-old from Nunthorpe, in Middlesbrough, is sure to raise the roof with her trademark powerful performances.
Expect her to belt out her debut single You Bring Me Joy, and forthcoming single Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got).
Who knows she might even treat fans to some new material from her debut album, which is set for release in February.
Talking about the new album, she said: “There’ll be something on my album for everyone, sound wise it’s a good mix.”
Staying loyal to her North East roots, she is supporting fellow Teessider James Arthur in his bid to win this year’s X Factor.
She said: “I absolutely love him and I’m backing him all the way. I met him on the first live show and he was lovely.”
Amelia is also a big fan of Sunderland-built Nissan Jukes.
Although she has not yet passed her driving test she was still delighted with her 18th birthday present – a customised Nissan Juke – which was given to her by Winn Solicitors.
