Following the success of the previous three EPs, Dennis recorded their debut album throughout 2015 / 2016 utilising community spaces. The new music will be showcased at the Gala gig and has been inspired by the region’s cultural and industrial heritage.

Speaking about teaming up with Houghton Brass Band and Houghton Area Youth Band, a spokesman from Dennis said: “Both bands have been integral to the nurturing of Dennis members’ musical and social footings amidst a brass bands community spirit.

“In recognition of this, the Dennis finale at the Gala Theatre will provide a wider opportunities experience for young musicians in an onstage
collaboration of all the shows musicians performing together for the very first time, providing a brass folk-pop extravaganza.”

The band has already built up a firm following in the North East with sell out shows at Live Theatre Newcastle and The Sage Gateshead under their belt, as well as appearances in London and on festival stages.
