Rising star John Newman has announced a major UK tour – which sees him stop off in the North East in February.
The 23-year-old, whose critically-acclaimed debut album Tribute was released last week, will play Newcastle’s O2 Academy on February 1.
Tribute features global hit Love Me Again, which reached number one in 16 countries and follow-up single, Cheating.
Love Me Again, which has achieved Gold Status in the UK for sales in excess of 500,000, followed John’s previous anthem and chart-topper, Feel The Love, which he co-wrote and fronted with Rudimental.
Hailing from Settle in the Yorkshire Dales, the singer began playing guitar and writing his own songs aged just 14 and soon learned how to record and produce himself, making his own house tracks and DJing.
Tickets are on general sale now from www.aeglive.co.uk/artists/john-newman-2014-tour.
