Lola, who works at Whitburn fishmongers Latimer’s, performed for her mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and guest judge Tinie Tempah, on tonight’s show.

The singer, who is the daughter of ex-Newcastle United player Wes Saunders, sang All Of Me by John Legend at Cheryl’s house in Nice, France.

She was given the boot alongside Kerianne Covell and Emily Middlemas.

Lauren Platt, Chloe Jasmine, and Stephanie Nala were chosen to advance.

Cheryl told Lola: “When I look at you and talk to you, I can feel that you’re the one who wants this the most. You deliver performances with every ounce of your passion.

“It’s a very hard balance between having your passion, your emotion. If I was to take you through would you be able to control that? I had to make a decision based on what I think.”

She added: “I can’t take you through to the live. I’m so sorry.” The live shows start on ITV at 7.30pm on Saturday.
