THE Sea are bringing their sound to Sunderland.

The two-piece, made up of brothers Peter and Alex Chisholme, will bring their brand of indie rock to Bar One, in Tunstall Road, on July 12.

It’s part of a regional tour the duo are juggling alongside supporting James Morrison on some of his UK tour dates throughout the summer.

The brothers released single Shake Shake on June 25 as a free download through Lusty Records.

The second single to be taken from their second album Rooftops, Shake Shake is a groove laden indie-rock track, featuring The Sea’s trademark fuzzy guitars and danceable rhythms.

With debut album Get It Back and the single Love Love Love, the band have enjoyed success overseas, headlining tours and festivals across Europe, including Musikschutzgebiet Festival in Germany and Kuahgartn Open Air Festival in Switzerland.

The band have spent much of the past two years touring relentlessly across Europe, America and Canada and performed with the likes of Muse, Gossip and The Kills.

The Sea play Newcastle O2 Academy in support of James Morrison on July 11. They play Bar One in Sunderland on July 12 from 7.30pm and entry is free.
