TOMORROW’S the day when One Direction fans can get their hands on tickets for the Sunderland leg of their world tour.
Last week the boy band, who have shot to fame across the globe, announced they will play the Stadium of Light on May 28 next year.
It will be the first date in the UK leg of their world tour - their biggest to date.
Tickets, priced from £43 plus booking fee, will go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
Fans are reminded that tickets are available online and via telephone only, not from the Stadium of Light box office. SAFC commercial director, Gary Hutchinson, said: “There has been an incredible amount of excitement surrounding the announcement that One Direction will be coming to the Stadium of Light in 2014.
“They are one of the most popular bands in the world at the moment, with a massive global fan base, so the demand for tickets and hospitality packages for this show is expected to be huge.”
The band have announced that they increased the cost of each ticket, which was originally £42.50, with the extra 50p being donated to Stand up to Cancer. The other three UK venues the band will play as part of their Where We Are tour are Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Wembley Stadium, London.
Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall have sold more than 14 million singles and eight million albums following on from their stint on X Factor in 2010.
