ONE Direction, the world’s biggest pop act, today announced two North-East gigs.

The boy band, whose last visit to the region was at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light in May, will play back-to-back shows as part of their On The Road Again tour.

They will be at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Sunday and Monday, October 25 and 26 next year.

It will give fans the chance to see them perform songs from their new album Four for the first time alongside their much-loved hits.

After a one-off performance in Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in June, the full tour kicks off at The O2 in London in September and wraps up a month later in Sheffield.

Tickets for all dates, priced from £39.50, plus the usual fees, go on sale at 9am on Saturday, December 6.

They are available online and via the booking hotline (0844) 493 6666 only. There will be no sales in person at the Metro Radio Arena Box Office.
