FANS have another chance to bag tickets for Sunderland’s One Direction concert at the Stadium of Light.
Extra tickets have been released for the show, the first on the UK leg of the band’s tour, which takes place on Wednesday May 28, 2014.
SAFC commercial director Gary Hutchinson said more spaces had been made available after finalising stage set up and sight lines for technical equipment.
“One Direction are the biggest boyband in the world right now and demand for tickets for the Stadium of Light show, as the only venue between Manchester and Edinburgh, was incredible,” he said.
“We know that many fans were left disappointed at the thought of not being able to see their idols, so the release of these additional tickets is great news for everyone.
“There is only a very limited allocation of additional tickets and demand is expected to be huge.”
Sunderland’s Stadium of Light is one of only four UK venues to host the tour – along with Manchester’s Ethiad Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Wembley Stadium, London – and demand for tickets has been unprecedented.
Fans are advised to book promptly on Saturday to avoid disappointment.
Tickets will be on sale from 10am Saturday September 28 through a number of online ticket agencies and hotlines. Tickets are NOT available from the Stadium of Light ticket office or SAFC phonelines.
A limited number of hospitality packages, which include a guaranteed concert ticket, are also available from £145 per person.
