WORK is under way at the Stadium of Light today on the final preparations for Kings of Leon.
A final batch of tickets is on sale for the Sunderland leg of the band’s summer tour before a 55,000-strong crowd.
The U.S. rock superstars Kings of Leon follow pop legends Take That, who performed to more than 210,000 adoring fans over four nights in Sunderland.
Gary Hutchinson, SAFC’s head of venue and events, said: “There’s a huge amount of work involved in preparing the stadium for such large-scale concerts.
“Club staff are working hand in hand with the promoters to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible and we are all looking forward to a fantastic event on Friday.”
