DUBSTEP star Katy B has been added to the line-up for Sunderland’s biggest ever pop fest this summer.
Fresh from her album Little Red topping the UK album chart last week, it’s been announced that the singer-songwriter will perform at North East Live at the Stadium of Light.
The 24-year-old is famous for tracks including Crying For No Reason, 5AM, Lights On and Broken Record.
Little Red is her first number one album after releasing debut On A Mission in 2011.
Katy said: “I’m looking forward to playing such a huge outdoor show. This will definitely be a summer highlight for me.”
She’ll be performing on the same stage as fellow Brit School alumni Jessie J who will headline North East Live on June 22.
Today, SAFC announced that girl band Neon Jungle and emerging act Rixton will also be added to the line-up of pop acts which already includes Jason Derulo, Rizzle Kicks, The Saturdays, The Vamps and Union J.
Neon Jungle said: “We’re so excited to play this festival as we get to perform on the same stage as some of our favourite artists.”
Rixton added: “We can’t believe we are playing this festival.
“It’s going to be the biggest crowd we’ll have performed to, we can’t wait to see all your faces.” The latest trio announced complete the line-up for the event which was held for the first time at the home of the Black Cats in 2013.
The family-friendly music extravaganza, which last year brought JLS and Rita Ora amongst others to Sunderland, is designed to suit music fans of all ages.
Tickets, priced from £25, are still available for the festival which will start at 2pm and run until 10pm.
Golden Circle tickets, which offer close views of the acts, are £60.
They are available from www.aeglive.co.uk, www.axs.com and Tel.08448 244824, www.seetickets.com and the Stadium of Light ticket office.
