WASHINGTON singer Jonny Boyle is gearing up to release his latest album.
With more than 20 years’ experience of music under his belt, Jonny has just finished recording and producing his latest album of self-penned songs, Radio, which will be available in 2012.
It brings together Jonny’s rock and soul influences in one sound and features Roxy Music’s Paul Thompson on drums, with Alan Clark and Chris White, from Dire Straits, on Hammond organ and saxophone.
Neil Harland appears on bass and the talents of Mark Dickinson can be heard on piano.
Joining Jonny, who has featured in bands including the Alligators, Jack’s Wasted Life and Golddiger over the years, is Carly McKee on vocals.
Fall Down, which has reached No.22 on the iTunes rock chart, is the first of the singles to be released from the album.
The whole band will be performing the new album on February 1, at Hoochie Coochie, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle.
