This weekend sees three days of live music taking place at venues around the city centre.
Gonzo Festival takes place from Friday until Sunday and will give a platform to talent from across the North East.
The event will kick off at 7pm tomorrow night in Union at The Point, with eight acts of the alternative/metal/heavy/experimental genres.
The artists performing are: Nic Wood, Real Gone, Zeerox, Carved Lies, Bhang, Running From Wolves, Deltasound, Young Property Developers and Dead Like Wolves.
Saturday’s event will take place in Pure, Olive Street, with the focus being on rock/indie/folk/blues music with some other genres added into the mix.
Those scheduled to play are: Chris Binding, Aurora Breakup, Les Kay, Ashliegh Lowes, Scarlet Conviction, Bi:Lingual, Bosko Green, James Prior Jnr, Dec & Wayne, Bright Shadows, the Montagues and The Face.
Sunday will start in Pure at 2pm with the third heat of a battle of the bands contest featuring Volunteers, Digits, Public Secret and Sinead Livingston with Spooky Jeffersons Ideal Lnchbox scheduled to play afterwards.
The music will then head down to Plugged Inn, Holmeside, where Plecdrum Inc, The Found, Savannah Betts, Below The Bridge and Bonsai Five will play.
After Plugged Inn, the action moves to Purple Bar where B-type & Cyberbyte, One Man Revival, Mirage and Built Like A Gun will perform.
