Have your say

Frankie & the Heartstrings need your vinyl.

The band – who have taken a break from touring to run their pop-up record shop, art venue and gig venue – need Wearside’s help to keep the shop going.

They are looking for people to donate unwanted vinyl records which they can sell in Pop Recs Ltd, to help pay for running costs.

The venture, based in the old Tourist Information Centre in Fawcett Street, was only supposed to run for two weeks, but has proved so successful that the lads plan to keep it going for the foreseeable future.

Edwyn Collins, Badly Drawn Boy and Bernard Butler are among the acts who have already played there live for free and the Heartstrings are looking to book more.

To help, take your old and unwanted vinyl along to Pop Recs Ltd, which is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
