A Sunderland venue is looking forward to welcoming Folks to its stage.
The Manchester-based six piece will play 7even, off Park Lane, on September 24.
Bringing together classic song writing with emotive vocals and melodies, the band says it makes music to be listened to and enjoyed over and over.
The band was formed when guitarist and writer Michael Beasley hooked up with vocalist Scott Anderson, and they relocated to the U.S. to record what would end up being their debut album, to be released early next year.
On their return the duo pulled together a full band (Thom Fripp, lead guitar, Harry Gumery, bass, Wil Akroyd, keyboards, and Elliot Barlow, drums).
Having sneaked the odd gig in here and there Folks now head out for their own headline dates which lead on to a support tour with Miles Kane in October.
The band will be making tracks available via its website next month, starting with a free download Avalanche on September 5 via www.wearefolks.com.
