COM Truise – yes that’s his stage name – is bringing his sound to Sunderland tonight.
The unusual moniker, which sounds a bit like a Hollywood star, is one of the many personas of U.S. producer and designer Seth Haley.
A self-confessed synth obsessive, Com Truise is the maker of an experimental and bottom-heavy style he calls “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk.”
Often compared to the British electronic/dance acts such as Orbital and Underworld, Com’s worldwide fanbase ensures a massive demand for live shows.
His extensive 22-date tour of Europe see him play only a handful of British shows, with Independent’s The Little Room beating off fierce competition from neighbouring cities to secure tonight’s prestigious appearance.
Tickets, priced £6.50, are available from Hot Rats in Stockton Road, Sunderland, and online at www.netickets.net
