BOSSES at a Boldon pub are holding a fundraising festival for charity.

The Travelling Man in Newcastle Road, West Boldon, is staging a music extravaganza in aid of South Tyneside-based St Clare’s Hospice on June 1.

Acts appearing at the event – called Boldon Bandfest – include The Crocs, The Enzymes and The Ambassadors, who will all play in a giant marquee.

Bar manager Davey Guy, who organised the event with pal Paul Lindsay, said: “The bands are all fantastic, so the entertainment is sure to be brilliant.

“It’s all for a good cause. We wanted to help a local charity and most people will know someone who has had experience of St Clare’s Hospice. Hopefully, we’ll raise plenty of cash for it.”

Tickets are £5 and available from the bands and behind the bar. Some tickets may be available on the door on the day. For more information, call Mr Guy on 536 3401.
