THE revamped Ship Isis pub is set to swing-along-a-Christmas this Sunday to the sound of crooner Andy Barker.
The popular watering hole, on Silksworth Row, puts on free live music every Sunday from 5pm to 7pm.
The pub is proving a welcome addition to the real ale scene in Sunderland, along with the nearby Museum Vaults, Kings Arms and Saltgrass.
This week, from 6pm, Andy Barker will sing a range of jazz swing classics, as well as a few Christmas numbers to get people in the festive mood.
He will be accompanied on piano by pianist, composer and musical director Mark Deeks, who has just returned from performing in Paris.
Andy said: “As well as crooning some Sinatra classic’s we’ll be doing a few festive favourites – perfect accompaniment to the real ale.”
