IN PICTURES: Photos are David’s labour of love

Have your say

DAVID Mawhinney might describe himself as a “strictly amateur” photographer, but that doesn’t stop it being a labour of love for him.

David, 55, from Horden, enjoys local walks and days out, and often has his camera with him to capture the sights and scenes he comes across, including some lovely shots from Holy Island, Bamburgh and other coastal locations, as you can see here.

When he’s not out and about with his camera, the production operative enjoys home wine and beer making and following Sunderland AFC.

Many thanks to David for taking part in Friday Photos. If you’d like to get involved, see the information at the bottom of the page.

We’re looking for snappers of any age and level of experience, and any style of photography.

We’d especially like to see more work from younger photographers. Maybe you’ve been doing a project at school or college? If so, let us see it!
