VIDEO: Sunderland coastline features in School of Language music video

Waiting for Video...

ROKER beach, Seaburn and Sunderland Marina are among North East landmarks to feature in a quirky music video.

The video for Dress Up, the latest record from School Of Language, released this week, was shot by Grangetown photographer Andy Martin.

Andy spent countless hours photographing Field Music’s David Brewis for the video for his solo project.

The result is a unique video which uses hundreds of stills animated to create a flip book effect.

The song is taken from Old Fears, School of Language’s follow up album to six-year-old Sea from Shore.

David headed back into Field Music’s studio by the banks of the River Wear to make the record. Scenes from South Shields’ coastline also feature in the video.

While there are tracks which will tickle the ears of Field Music fans by harking back to a couple of songs from albums Plumb and Tones of Town, it is a step in a new direction for David’s stand-alone work, drawing on afrobeat, R‘n’B and electro.
